FIRST STEP

You can start your auction inquiry by sending your photos and descriptions via email. Dimensions, marks, signatures, material, and physical condition should all be included. Step 1

ASSESSING YOUR COLLECTION

The estimates we provide are based on prices paid for comparable items sold in the previous two years and reflect fair market value. We use a variety of national and international databases to provide sales results. These sales results, when combined with expert opinion, determine auction estimates. PACKING AND MOVING YOUR PROPERTY

Matsuda’s will gladly discuss with you the most efficient method of transporting your art to its facility. Packing materials and transportation fees are determined on an individual basis. For your peace of mind, before your art is moved, both parties sign an Auction Agreement outlining the entire process. Once at our headquarters, your valuables are physically tagged with your name and stored until the appropriate auction process is initiated.

Step 3

PHOTOGRAPHING AND PROMOTING YOUR WORK

Matsuda’s retains a commission or a percentage of the selling price as a service fee based on a value-scale of the hammer price.
