We can appraise and give you a fair market value for fine and contemporary art. Please begin the process by emailing us a few photos with some details such as sizes, signatures, marks, condition of the object and your telephone number. We will respond to your email within 48 hours. If we need further information from you, we will request this by email.
Please note that in some cases, we will need to manually appraise your work – for example, if the condition of your work cannot be determined through photos. Our appraisal specialists will contact you directly to set up these meetings if that is the case.
We employ appraisal specialists who are more than qualified to determine, with great accuracy, the value of your works. Not to mention, we have many galleries that partner up with us for our appraisal and auction services.
If you wish to sell by auction, Matsuda’s will be happy to discuss the most efficient way to bring your art to our facility. We work with several moving companies and have extensive experience packing valuables. The packing materials and transportation fees are determined on an individual basis.
To meet your needs and timeline, an open discussion is required. Before your art is moved, both parties sign an Auction Agreement outlining the entire process for your peace of mind. Once at Matsuda’s, your valuables are physically tagged and stored until the appropriate auction process is initiated.
You can rely on our team’s experience to provide an accurate evaluation of your artwork with great care and professionalism. The rates are calculated on an hourly basis.
Matsuda’s provides a full range of appraisal services. If you wish to know the value of your assets, we can provide a verbal appraisal for a few items, or a written report with photos for an entire collection.
